See Her Beauty

Loving, supportive and positive friendships are what make the world go round.

Relationships of this kind touch us so deeply and hold an irreplaceable contribution towards having a healthy life.

To open your eyes wide enough to see your friend for who she* truly is, her heart, her essence, her Being is to See Her Beauty.

To see the sparkle in her eye, her dreams, her kindness, her inner smile.

Sometimes we do not look deep enough, either by skimming the surface or staying in the shadows, to see what is eternally true: that royal beauty lies within each of us, so warm and loving – that needs recognition, understanding and nurturing to flourish.

You have choice in this world: you can seek and practice positive friendships based on love and compassion or you can quiet your beating heart.

You can See Her Beauty or you can not see your own.

I know what I choose. I care from my heart and see the many hearts around me. I see the beauty in every friendship I hold. I am thankful for every friend I have, for each inspires me with their individual spark. I hold my hands wide and bare in asking to be a part of their lives, their journeys, their joy.

Friendships are too precious to be understated, overlooked or misused. With every green eye, angry, resentful, complacent or fearful moment you take, you miss out so greatly on beauty so available, so unique.

Stay united with those of the same sex and opposite. There is no threat but any that you choose to create – so do without.

Form friendships of gold based on pure and unobstructed love, treating them as treasure so rare.

Just see how much beauty you can create in your own life and lives of others in an opening of your heart.

* I use ‘she’ only as a personal example. I feel so blessed to have such amazing friendships with so many beautiful women. Please interchange ‘she’ for ‘he’ as appropriate for you. :)

Come Rain or Shine!

A positive attitude is what lights up the sky!

One that says ‘whatever the weather, I am happy’, ‘whatever the weather, I choose peace today’ , ‘whatever the weather, I’m having a great day!’.

Such an attitude does not depend on ‘good’ weather, things to be going one way or another, other people’s reactions or any outside occurrence.

A positive perspective is an inside job – one that everyone can benefit from having. And the domino effect it has is incredible! See your smile appear on the faces of others!

On too many occasions, you put your happiness on standby because of the way you see things and the way you want things to be. From the very moment you look out of your window in the morning you decide what feeling you’re going to take around with you through the course of your day. How many times have you said ‘Oh no it’s raining!, how awful, it’s going to be a dreary day’ A dreary day you ask for, a dreary day you shall get! And blame it on the weather you may, but do you really think the weather deserves a pointing finger?

What is it that makes rain so miserable and sunshine cheery? The answer is, you do.

Because the truth is the weather brings neither happiness nor sorrow. This meaning you attach to it is to suit you, to excuse you, to keep you firmly fixed in a blanket of edgy comfort.

But now is the time to throw the comfort blanket down! Because it’s smoldering your perspective. Take responsibility for your days, your moods and claim back your happiness – come rain or shine!

Choose to have a spring in your step no matter what the circumstances be! Imagine all the fun and exciting things you could be doing and feeling if you made a decision to love each moment, whatever the weather…

So next time you look out of the window at a grey cloud or feel a splatter on your raincoat, take a second to adopt your positive attitude, put a smile back on your face and jump joyfully in the closest puddle! And in doing so, you will inspire others to do the same!

Find happiness in all weather. Create puddles of joy. And take this healthy attitude with you through life.

Your True Path

SDC11640

Take a look down at your feet and ask yourself this question: ‘Where have I been treading?’ Trace your steps back to see where you’ve been so far – does your chosen journey fill you with happiness? Some of us are creating an artwork out of our footprints, whilst for others a more sketchy course is underway.

We hear people say ‘I’m on the right path now’ with a glint in the eye and a smile that says ‘I’m proud and satisfied that I’ve got here.’ Suddenly for them, life seems to make great sense – with everything coming together beneath their eyes in a magnificent tapestry. When you feel like this, like something extraordinary is happening, that is because it is! You are awakening to a meaningful life, you are following Your True Path.

Your True Path is what you came here to do, to be. It’s your life’s calling, your purpose, your reason for you! When you’re following Your True Path you simply come alive and see the beauty that is your life. All corners of you meet in the middle and you get to revel in great self-worth and appreciation. Ahh what a glorious time. ‘So why aren’t we all leaping onto our True Path? you ask.

Because you don’t always hear the calling. Your head may be so buried in your hands that you forget to look up and see the sky. Unaware that all the while the sky exists, so bright and clear for those who dare, with both meaning and determination, to put one foot in front of the other.

At certain points along life’s way you may wander off course, cross onto another or take a left turn instead of a right. It’s easy to get lured off sight, distracted from your True Path.

Your path looks a certain way, has it’s own distinct form which distinguishes it from someone else’s. The lines, bends and edging are all unique. No one else’s path looks the same. Not Emily’s, nor Laura’s, nor James’, nor Richard’s. No-one’s.

Sharing precious moments with loved ones is wonderful. To feel such love, comfort and affection. Be sure to take pleasure in dancing and skipping through the blueberry wood! Just be careful to see the way back to Your True Path before dark. Because although everything may taste so sweet, seasons will change, the sweetness will fade and your loved ones will be walking a different step to you.

Let’s tweak the original question: ‘Where will I be treading today?’ What kind of life do you want to orientate? It’s time to stop the aimless wandering, dilly-dallying by the side of the road and start proudly walking Your True Path!

Create a picture for yourself of the kind of path you want to follow, the direction you want to head in, the person you want to be. Start acting more and more in tune with your picture and think carefully about what your next steps will be….
