♥ Summer time is here! ♥
Time to Celebrate!
A perfect time for a healthy makeover and an extra boost of vitality!
Feel energised, refreshed and incredible this Summer! And here are some healthy tips for getting you going!….

Enjoy lots of tasty fresh fruits! Summer is wonderful for supplying us with so many delicious kinds. Mix together strawberries, raspberries, peaches, apricots, blueberries, blackberries, cherries, mangoes, watermelons, limes and more! Serve with a scoop of natural yogurt – mmmm! Have friends over for a fresh fruit salad and sprawl out onto the patio when it’s sunny!

Play outside! Get some friends together and hit your local park and just have some fun! Go on the swings, the slide, monkey bars, see-saw, wheel and just let the child in you free! You’ll feel brilliant from letting go, laughing so much and energising yourself. A great Summery outdoors activity, especially if you’re not a great fan of the gym!

Surround yourself with beauty. Have a peaceful stroll to your local park or river and just sit back and observe the gentle flow of the water. Look up at the sky and appreciate the clouds, birds and sunshine. Put up some of your favourite paintings. Buy some fresh and colourful flowers, decorate them in a pretty vase and put them in your room. The Summery scent will fill you up and bring a smile to your face!

Get your taste buds flowing with some beautiful Summery recipes! Combine seasonal fresh green beans, peas, tomatoes, squash, peppers, corn, spring onions, courgettes, avocados, carrots and aubergine. Treat yourself to a Summery risotto or salad with some fresh warm bread and potato salad.

Keep fit outside! Take your running shoes, exercise mat, skipping rope, Frisbee, badminton net or music player outdoors and have a great time! Work up a good sweat with a free style dance or do some relaxing movements to unwind. Whatever takes your fancy, enjoy being in the fresh air.

Try something new! Have a go at something you’ve never done before – you may surprise yourself at how much you like it! Experiment with climbing, salsa dancing, rowing, kick boxing, cooking classes, language courses, sailing, pottery classes, five rhythms dancing, comedy nights, yoga retreats and pilates. Find a buddy in your town and make a great day or weekend out of this new experience!

Have a big clear out of your room or home. Decluttering makes you feel fab as you create space in yourself and your surroundings by doing so. Discard all those things you’ve been keeping for a blue moon to come! Take them down to the local charity shop or have a garage sale. You’ll love the refreshing feeling that comes and you’ll provide more room for relaxation space and new delights!

If you’re wanting an alcohol-free evening, don’t feel you need to stay in! Not at all! Hit the club, bar, dance floor, party, house gathering or friends house and have a whale of a time regardless! Feel the natural highs and energy buzz flowing from you whilst sipping on any delicious variety of Virgin cocktails, drinks and juices. Sass them up by using cocktail or shot glass and fruit pieces on the side. You may be surprised at how much more fun and energy you have! Perfect if you want to be on top form and productive the next day without feeling a hangover. Great for your waistline and purse too!

And remember to enjoy yourself ‘whatever the weather’. Come Rain or Shine. The Summer is in ‘you’ and you take it where you go. So embrace all that comes and respond positively!
Have a great Summer everyone!!

This is our Summer! No matter what the weather, so let’s be happy with it as it is. We’ve had some lovely sunshine here in Dorset this week!
Wow sounds brill Catie! Hope it went well! Lie back and give yourself a treat at the end of it.

I spent a glorious week in Austria and swam in the lakes there, even when they were chilly! Each time, I took a deep breath and jumped in, thinking “Life’s too short to regret not swimming in this lake”. Felt wonderfully exhilarated and connected with nature, with fresh water and the mountains in the background.

Wow! Corrina, sounds like you had an amazing time!
Isn’t it lovely to take a plunge, a risk, a new experience on? We sometimes get a chill, but this can be a sign that we’re stepping out of our comfort zone and into a ‘moving-forward’ zone!
Keep seeking nature, freshness and beautiful settings. Ahhh

I love that the rowing experience got a mention. Also agree with you about flowers, my favourite thing to have in the house.
